When did I stop being brave? Stepping into the more
Have you ever asked yourself the question, “When did I stop being brave?” It comes right after that feeling when you know you’ve outgrown something. You can’t quite pinpoint the moment you knew something had to change, but it’s there, watching and waiting for you to stop making excuses and step into the more.
WHEN DID I STOP BEING BRAVE?
Are you tired of living a little life? Do you ever get frustrated with the fact that you’ve allowed yourself to live small when there is so much more unused potential inside of you?
God wants us to start stepping into the more He has for each and every one of us. Together, with His wisdom and knowledge we can complete the plans He has waiting for us. To start stepping into the more, you just need to be a little bit brave.
Living a larger life isn’t about jumping off rocks or climbing mountains. It’s stepping into an expanded life. A life that is brave enough to admit that they’ve outgrown some things that they used to love doing and to start doing something new.
When we were young, we got so bombarded with that ‘one question’ by well-meaning family members and friends that it made us shrink into ourselves even more. They’d ask what you wanted do for the rest of your life. A question that felt like you had to have a powerpoint presentation ready, filled with slides that showed what each phase of your life will look like.
STEPPING INTO THE MORE
The trouble with other people’s expectations is that while you’re busy pleasing them, you lose yourself. You stop being brave. You can’t step into the more because you don’t even know who you are anymore. You’ve lost your way along the path of life. And before you know it, you have pushed all those dreams you once had so far down into the dark caverns of your soul that you’ve become numb.
God can turn everything for good. He’s the One who allows you to feel uncomfortable where you are so you move again. He’s the One who will help you to step into the more He has for you.
Tell me friend, when did you stop being brave?
It’s time to get on your knees and start praying, so God can release these dreams you’ve kept locked up inside of you for so long. It’s time to start stepping into the more.
Go get ‘em tiger!
