White Noise: Speaking with more value than volume.
How do you get noticed in a noisy world? Do you need to shout louder so you can be heard over the constant stream of white noise, or is there a better way to get people’s attention?

I always find that quality rules over quantity. If we are to turn the dial up on our faith and let our voices be heard over the white noise of this world, our lives need to speak with more value than volume. But hold on a minute, isn’t your motto, “Turn the volume up on your faith, Wendy?” Yes, it is indeed. But volume isn’t about how high your noise level is. Volume is letting your life speak so loudly that people notice you’re different.

1 Corinthians 13:1 reminds us that, “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.” The Message Bible says, “…I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.”

The key words in that verse is have not love. We speak with more value than volume if it’s done out of a spirit of love, otherwise, we just become white noise. Love says, “I’ll help you even when you don’t deserve it.” Love says, “I forgive you when it would be easier to take offence.” Love says, “I will speak value into your life rather than discarding you.”
When we decide to live a life that shows grace and love, the volume on our faith becomes louder. The white noise of this world petters out until it becomes a whisper. People listen to the sound of freedom. People respond far better to words of value rather than volume.
So turn the volume up on your faith!
