Warrior > Worrier: How to become more warrior than worrier.
Can I be frank? Are you a warrior or a worrier? Or to put it another way, is the warrior in you greater than (>) the worrier that seems to come out when you go into battle?
You see, we can all talk up a good game on the sidelines, but when those anxious thoughts overwhelm us, the worrier in us seems to push us around like a Sumo wrestler high from a sugar rush. Tormenting the champion in us until we wave the white flag of surrender. Finding that we’re left feeling like a coward who can talk the talk but not walk the walk.
But the remarkable thing is that God doesn’t see your failure. He doesn’t expel you from the ‘warrior program’ just because you let worry get the better of you. His gigantic love for you is much, much bigger than that.
2 Corinthians 10:5 reminds us to, ‘We are demolishing arguments and ideas, every high and mighty philosophy that pits itself against the knowledge of the one true God. We are taking prisoners of every thought, every emotion, and subduing them into obedience to the Anointed One.’
Simply put, we need to catch every worry, every anxious thought, every torment that the enemy throws into our minds and bring them all to Jesus’s feet. So throw off the shackles and fight like a warrior, my friend!
Joel 3:9 says,’Awaken your great warriors.’ It’s time to rouse dear warrior from your slumber and capture every thought that doesn’t give you peace of mind. The wet blanket of the worrywart cannot stay one moment longer. He’s taken up too much space already by trespassing on ground that isn’t his to claim.
Stop trying to control what you can’t control and start cramming your mind with God’s Word. The truth is we expect God to fix us up when He’s already given us instructions on how to fight and win every battle like a true warrior.
The warrior in you is > (greater than) the worrier.
It’s time to level up, warrior! *sassy finger snap – BOOM!*
