It’s not what you deserve

“It’s not what you deserve, it’s what you believe in and I believe in love.”

While watching the new Wonder Woman movie last weekend

Something stirred deep inside of me

Firstly,

I realised I wanted to be an Amazon Warrior

The kick boxing

Scissor kicking

Battle worn

Badass

Group of women

Who fight wars with shields and swords

Swinging their braided hair from side to side

While on horseback

We’re my kinda gals

And secondly,

I pondered over what Wonder Woman said to the baddie, Ares, the god of war

“It’s not what you deserve, it’s what you believe in and I believe in love.”

Jesus came down from Heaven to rescue me

It’s not what I deserve

But He rescued me anyway

All it took was for me to believe in His love

IT’S NOT WHAT YOU DESERVE

Jesus came to earth

Because He believed you were worth saving

It’s not what you deserve

But He did it anyway

God doesn’t just believe in love, like Wonder Woman

He IS love

John 3:16-17 says,

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again.”

Jesus sacrificed Himself

Taking all our faults, failures and mistakes

And nailed them to that cross

Along with Himself

Long before we knew we needed a Saviour

It’s not what you or I deserve

But it’s what He believes in

And He believes that His love is stronger than anything else

Because the broken, barren places of your heart

Are worth fighting for

Wonder Woman is a superhero

And we all need one of those

But God knows we need more than a hero

We need a Saviour

A Saviour who doesn’t wait until you’ve got it altogether before He comes to rescue you

He loves you

He believes in you

He’s got you

It’s not what you deserve

But Jesus did it anyway

Wendy a Quick Question for you, Jesus, and indeed, God know what, Struggles and battles, you and I go through, on a regular basis, but how does he know we’re struggling, before we tell him in Prayer? and how does our Lord God, and his Son Jesus know we’re in need of help, before we ask? These are things I often wonder about? Joshua Moore.

Because He is the Alpha and the Omega. (The beginning and the end)
Revelation 1:8. Also, I believe God uses our struggles and challenges to help us grow into a deeper relationship with Him. It’s easy to praise God when everything is going well, but when your in the fight and the fire and you still raise your hands in worship to Him, that’s true worship. =)

Thank you Wendy, Life for me is changing rapidly, I am very uncomfortable with Change, but there is a God that never changes, and knowing what I believe about him just puts me back in balance, he is a God of love, and my Jesus my best friend always remains that
He has saved me. Thank God has put you (Wendy) in my life, you also never change, you have remained my consistent friend, and I know that is a gift from God to make my life Balanced.
